Why FCA Wrestling?
“Wrestling encompasses the meaning of the phrase ‘mutual suffering.’ There is an intensity about the sport where two competitors struggle against one another in such a way that provokes pain physically and mentally. This creates a bond in competition and practice because the wrestlers have shared in struggle. The pain fosters vulnerability and the vulnerability creates bonds. This culture of ‘mutual suffering’ is a place where the truth of Christ can thrive.”

Why FCA Wrestling?
“I grew up wrestling from a young age and loved it more than anything else in the world. It’s what I thought about and focused on day and night. Eventually, wrestling consumed me so much that it became my identity. Wrestling was everything to me, and I was nothing without it. I went through a series of injuries in college that caused me to not be able to perform as well as I wanted, which then led me to step away from the sport and enter into an even deeper depression. Once I no longer had wrestling in my life, I realized how lost I was and that I had no sense of identity because wrestling had been what defined me my entire life. It was in this dark season that the Lord saved me and showed me who I am in Christ. Now that my identity is in Him, He has called me back into the wrestling world to use this as a way to minister to others who are in the same shoes that I was in years ago. I love the sport of wrestling, and I love even more the fact that I get to use wrestling to share the Gospel and give glory to God!”
